Case Summary: |
The plaintiffs allege that Innovative Dining Group falsely advertised that it sold Kobe beef at their branded locations inclusive of Roku Sushi, Boa Steakhouse, Delphine Restaurant & Katana Restaurant (all California locations) The beef they represented as Kobe was not actually Kobe beef in the sense that it did not come from Kobe, Japan. According to the plaintiff, Innovative Dining Group engaged in unfair business practices, violations of the Consumers Legal Remedies Act. The class action lawsuit alleged that the restaurant’s actions constitute fraud, intentional misrepresentation and negligent misrepresentation. Innovative Dining Group denies the allegations but has agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of extended litigation the specific locations involved are as follows:
