Glucosamine Class Action (CVS, Kroger, Target, etc)

The settlement covers purchases of the following Glucosamine products between 2005 and 2013.

If you have a proof of purchase (receipt, box, or other documentation), you can claim $5 per bottle up to a maximum of 10 bottles ($50).

If you no longer have a receipt you can claim $3 per bottle up to a maximum of 4 bottles ($12).

If the $2 million claim fund is undersubscribed, then claim amounts above may be tripled and doubled respectively ($150 & $24).

Please note this class action settlement has been dismissed

NOT required. However, if you have proof of purchase you are entitled to a higher level of compensation than if you make a claim without proof of purchase.

Glucosamine is a popular supplement that is marketed as being good for joints. Rexall Sundown and NBTY are one of the largest manufacturers of Glucosamine products. Their products are sold under a variety of different brand names, including many generic brands for supermarkets and drug stores.

The companies were sued for making false and misleading statements about their products, such as the products being able to provide relief to people with arthritis. The plaintiffs and the company settled the case before it went to trial, so a court never decided who was right in the case.
