The settlement covers in-app purchases of Game Currency made in certain Apps, charged to an iTunes account by minors, without the knowledge or permission of the account holder. The settlement covers incidents prior to May 2, 2013. Qualifying apps include all games in the iTunes store that have an age rating of 4+, 9+, or 12+, and that allow in-game currency purchases. The settlement administrators have also build a widget that lets you search for particular apps to see if they are eligible here. |
