Owners of vehicles that purchased gas from qualifying retail outlets in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, or Ohio between 9/7/12 and 9/28/12 that either:

Gas Reimbursement – you may claim reimbursement for purchase of the tainted gas up to a maximum of $50 (if you did not need to make a repair) and $70 if you did need to make a repair. Repair Reimbursement – you may also claim reimbursement for repairs (up to $1,500 per vehicle), as well as reimbursement for alternative transport (up to $7.50), mileage for trips to the repair shop ($0.565/mile), towing expenses, and lost income (up to $200). |

Required. You are required to have a receipt or credit card statement showing purchase for both types of claims. For reimbursement for repairs to your car you will also need the receipt from the repair. |

Case Summary: |
The plaintiffs allege that BP placed tainted gas into distribution into certain gas stations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio. The gasoline is alleged to have had high concentration of gum that caused damage to consumers vehicles. BP denies the allegations, however settled the claims before they were heard by a court. |
