Case Summary
This is a proposed class action on behalf of customers who received and paid for student-provided services at the School between September 16, 2009 and January 13, 2017. One of the Defendants operates the School, and the clinic within the School (“the Clinic”), where students provide cosmetology, hairstyling and other services to the general public in exchange for certain fees. The Plaintiff contends that these fees exceeded the cost of the materials used in providing the services, in violation of New Jersey law.
The Defendants deny the Plaintiff’s allegations and claims in their entirety, but have agreed to settle the law to avoid the burdens and costs of litigation.
