Case Summary

On March 8, 2019, Citrix disclosed that its systems had been breached by an international criminal cyberattack. This attack gave the cybercriminals actual or potential unlawful access to the personal information of Citrix’s current and former employees, their dependents or beneficiaries, or other third parties, which may have included people’s names, financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, other tax identification numbers, information on limited health claims, passport numbers, or other personal information. Citrix informed all current and former employees who were in their employ on or after 2002 just as a precaution. Citrix also conducted a review to pinpoint other individuals whose sensitive personal information was leaked and notified them as well.
