Case Summary

Buena Vista Catalogue Co., d/b/a Disney Movie Club (“Defendant”) is accused of having enrolled some California consumers in subscriptions for the Disney Movie Club that were automatically renewing or a continuous service, and they posted charges to the consumer’s credit card, debit card, or third party payment account without first laying out to the consumer in a clear and obvious manner all of the automatic renewal offer terms, as required by law. Defendant denies any wrongdoing and has agreed to resolve the case without any admission of liability.
