All persons in the United States who purchased, for personal or household use Kirkland Signature Organic Virgin Coconut Oil in 42.3-ounce jars.This product was available for sale at Costco, in a single unit containing two jars, from approximately March 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016, but the Settlement Class covers the time period from March 1, 2014 to the date this notice was issued, as some jars may have been re-sold after June 2016.

This settlement resolves a lawsuit (the “Action”) against Costco Wholesale Corp. and the supplier of the coconut oil LODC Group, Ltd., (referred to collectively as “Costco”), alleging that Costco, which marketed and sold the Kirkland Signature Organic Virgin Coconut Oil that is the subject of the Action, violated certain laws by misleadingly marketing the product as healthy.
