LA Fitness New Jersey (NJ) Settlement

The class action applies to certain member of L.A. Fitness in New Jersey (NJ) who were either members of the gym paying monthly dues, or whom purchased personal training packages.

Personal Training – personal training customers (fitness service agreement) can elect to claim either two 35 minute personal training certificates, or a $100 credit to purchase services at a New Jersey L.A. Fitness.

Gym Membership – members that paid monthly dues are eligible for a 45 access pass or a cash payment for one-third of a month of membership dues.

If you are an eligible class member you will recieve a postcard in the mail containing a code that you will need to file.

The plaintiffs claim that L.A. Fitness personal training contracts broke the New Jersey Truth in Consumer Contract, Notice, and Warranty Act (catchilly abbreviated to TCCWNA). They also claim that L.A. Fitness unlawfully charged an extra month of dues when consumers cancelled memberships.
