Case Name: Steiner, et al. v. Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc.,
Case No.: 2:12-cv-02531 (District of New Jersey)
Case Summary:

The plaintiffs allege Rawlings Power Balance products (makers of magnetic bracelets beloved by idiots everywhere), made misleading claims about how the efficacy of their products (duh, it’s called a placebo .. that is the point … what good would a placebo be that made scientifically accurate claims).

The plaintiff denies the allegations. The case was settled before being decided by a court.

The requirement that you still have the product is ridiculous, it effectively selects for people that thought the product was useful enough to keep and discriminates against those that found it was a placebotron and threw it out.
