Case Name: Lilia Perkins v. Philips Oral Healthcare, Inc. et al.,
Case No.: 12-CV-1414H BGS (S.D. Cal.)
Case Summary:

The plaintiffs allege that Philips made misleading claims about the Sonicare AirFloss as being equivalent to conventional flossing. Philips denies any wrongdoing. The case got settled before being decided by a court.

We think this is a terrible settlement for consumers. Providing such a small voucher, that can only be used on the relatively expensive and occasional purchase Philips products is absurd. Asking for proof of purchase on this type of product, is ridiculous. And providing only paper filing (no online claims submission) just rubs salt into the wound. We would surprised if they actually ended up compensating more than a small handful of California consumers.
